Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using GradSignal ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and GradSignal, operated by Mishkat Mazumder ("we", "us", "our"), contactable at enquiries@gradsignal.co.uk.
2. Service Description
GradSignal is a graduate technology job board and interview preparation platform for UK university students and recent graduates. We publish job listings on behalf of employer partners and provide premium interview preparation content for candidates. We are not a recruitment agency and do not act on behalf of employers or candidates in any employment relationship.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Subscriptions, Payments & Cooling-Off Period
- Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or as a one-time lifetime payment via Stripe.
- You can cancel a monthly subscription at any time via Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you will retain access until then.
- Right of withdrawal: Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to withdraw from a digital service purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. However, by clicking "Subscribe" or "Purchase" and accessing premium content immediately, you expressly request that we begin providing the Service before the withdrawal period expires, and you acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully performed or you have accessed the premium content.
- We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods once premium content has been accessed.
- Lifetime purchases are non-refundable once the content has been accessed.
- All prices are inclusive of any applicable VAT.
5. Job Listings
Job listings on GradSignal are published on behalf of employer partners and, where indicated, sourced from publicly available information. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but cannot guarantee that all listing information is current, complete, or error-free. You should always verify role details directly with the employer before applying. We accept no liability for any loss arising from reliance on job listing information.
6. Interview Preparation Content
Interview preparation content is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is based on publicly available information and general market knowledge. We do not guarantee any specific interview outcome, job offer, or employment result. The content does not constitute professional careers advice.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on GradSignal - including text, graphics, logos, interview guides, and blog posts - is owned by or licensed to GradSignal and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our express written permission. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the content for your personal, non-commercial purposes only.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute our content or job listings without permission.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or other harmful content.
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
9. Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. If your account is terminated, any active paid subscription will be cancelled. You may delete your own account at any time via Settings, at which point your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GradSignal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunity, loss of earnings, or reliance on job listing or interview preparation content. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer based in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your home jurisdiction.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The current version of these Terms is always available at gradsignal.co.uk/terms.
