Employer Terms & Conditions

Last updated: May 2026

1. Introduction

These Employer Terms and Conditions ("Employer Terms") govern the relationship between GradSignal, operated by Mishkat Mazumder ("GradSignal", "we", "us", "our"), and any company, organisation, or individual ("Employer", "you", "your") that engages GradSignal to advertise job listings on the GradSignal platform (gradsignal.co.uk).

By instructing us to publish a job listing - whether by email, written agreement, or any other means - you agree to be bound by these Employer Terms. These Employer Terms are in addition to our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which also apply.

2. The Service

GradSignal is a graduate technology job board that publishes listings on behalf of employer partners to an audience of UK-based computer science and technology graduates. We are a job advertising platform only. We are not a recruitment agency, and we do not act as an agent for the Employer or any candidate in any employment or contractual relationship.

3. Job Listing Requirements

By submitting a job listing, you confirm that:

  • The listing is for a genuine vacancy that exists at the time of publication.
  • All information in the listing (including role title, description, salary, location, and application process) is accurate, truthful, and not misleading.
  • The role is a genuine entry-level graduate or early-career position appropriate for the GradSignal audience.
  • You have the authority to advertise the vacancy on behalf of the hiring organisation.
  • The listing and any recruitment process complies with all applicable UK employment law, including (but not limited to) the Equality Act 2010 - no listing may contain discriminatory requirements or language.
  • The apply URL or contact method provided is accurate and functional.

4. Our Right to Refuse or Remove Listings

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without liability, to:

  • Refuse to publish any listing that does not meet our standards or these Employer Terms.
  • Edit listing content for formatting, clarity, or compliance purposes (we will notify you of material edits).
  • Remove or deactivate any listing at any time if we reasonably believe it is misleading, unlawful, inappropriate for our audience, or in breach of these Employer Terms.
  • Suspend or terminate our relationship with an Employer who repeatedly submits non-compliant listings.

5. Fees and Payment

Fees for listing jobs on GradSignal are agreed in writing between GradSignal and the Employer prior to publication. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Payment is due prior to or upon publication of the listing.
  • Fees are quoted and payable in pounds sterling (GBP).
  • Fees are non-refundable once a listing has been published, except where GradSignal removes the listing for reasons that are solely our fault.
  • All fees are exclusive of VAT, which will be added where applicable.

We reserve the right to update our standard fee schedule. Any agreed fee for a specific listing will not change once confirmed in writing.

6. Listing Duration and Amendments

Listings will remain live for the period agreed at the time of booking (typically until the role closes or the agreed expiry date, whichever comes first). If you need to amend a live listing (for example, to correct an error or update the apply URL), please contact us at enquiries@gradsignal.co.uk and we will make reasonable amendments promptly. If a role is filled before the agreed expiry date, please notify us so we can deactivate the listing.

7. Analytics and Tracking

GradSignal may provide Employers with performance data relating to their listings, including the number of candidate views, saves, and apply button clicks. This data is provided for information purposes only. GradSignal makes no guarantee as to the number of views, applications, or hires that will result from a listing.

Where apply links include UTM tracking parameters (e.g. utm_source=gradsignal), Employers may independently verify click traffic in their own web analytics platform. GradSignal's click data and the Employer's analytics data may differ due to ad blockers, browser privacy settings, and other technical factors.

8. No Guarantee of Results

GradSignal makes no guarantee, representation, or warranty regarding the number of candidates who will view, apply to, or be suitable for any listed role. Candidate volume depends on many factors outside our control, including the attractiveness of the role, market conditions, and the time of year. We are not liable for any failure to receive applications or to make a hire.

9. Employer Responsibilities and Indemnity

The Employer is solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy and completeness of all information submitted for publication.
  • Conducting its recruitment process in compliance with all applicable laws.
  • All communications with and decisions about candidates.
  • Any employment offer made to a candidate and the subsequent employment relationship.

The Employer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless GradSignal, its operators, and agents from and against any claims, losses, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) any breach of these Employer Terms; (b) any inaccurate or misleading information in a listing; or (c) any claim by a candidate arising from the Employer's recruitment process.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GradSignal's total liability to the Employer for any claim arising out of or relating to these Employer Terms or the advertising service shall not exceed the fees paid by the Employer for the specific listing to which the claim relates. GradSignal is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss, including loss of profit or loss of anticipated recruitment outcomes.

Nothing in these Employer Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

11. Data Protection

GradSignal is the data controller for personal data collected from candidates using the platform. We do not pass candidate personal data (such as names, email addresses, or CVs) to Employers - candidates apply directly via the apply link provided by the Employer. The Employer is responsible for compliance with all applicable data protection laws in its own recruitment process.

12. Governing Law

These Employer Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Employer Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Employer Terms from time to time. Any material changes will be communicated to active Employer partners by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of our listing service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
